I listen to about one Goldy Schultz mystery a year, and it amazes me how Rosenblat brings some rather mundane writing to life. (It also amazes me how unrealistic the home catering sections are--IRL, the county board of health would be all over the code violations like white on rice.) Still, the series, like Tamar Myer's mysteries, has a certain charm.
