Didn’t Like It“Not as good as the "Big Stone Gap"books. Story was good, but bogged down with detail. Slow read - the last two chapters were tough to finish.” see full review » see other reviews » |
“In terms of chick lit, I thought this was much more interesting than the normal book. Sure, there was the annoying boyfriend and the "under the tuscan sun" portion of the book, but the shoe making industry made it much better than the typical read.”

Im looking forward to the next and reading more Adriana Trigiani books. For real this book was so interesting. I wished she would have worked things out with Romano”

I really enjoyed this one as well. Being Italian-American, I can so relate to her quirky characters. I loved Valentine, as strong woman, heart & soul. I loved the relationship she had with her grandmother, which reminded me very much of my own Nonni. And as much as I hate when novels end too perfectly wrapped up, I have to say I wish that there was more to the ending. I won't say more for fear of spolers. The ending was nice, but I wish there was a bit...more. Otherwise, great read and I was sad to finish it. It was the kind of book I really savored bit by bit.”
