Great book. Bogle does a super job explaining what is messed up in our financial industry and some paths to fix it. Gives super advice for all American families - invest in INDEX funds.

Aside from a few thought-provoking existential questions raised, this book was mostly a waste of time to read. First, the book lacks any sort of logical arrangement of ideas, with only five (very long) chapters entitled 'Too Much,' 'Even More,' Enough?,' 'Is Enough Possible?,' and 'Enough.' The content found therein was about as informative as the titles suggest, with the author relying mostly on grossly oversimplified explanations of junk and popular science while taking concepts such as genetic determinism to an extreme. After reading the first 20 pages or so, the same few ideas and arguments seem to then repeat ad nauseam. If the author wanted to truly hold the reader's interest with any amount of persuasion, he could have been more concise and logical with his arguments. The entire book feels like a last-minute school report struggling to meet the minimum word count requirement. If you prefer concise, insightful writing with an intellectual twist, then steer clear of this book. If you like your junk science spoon-fed to you along with a heaping of layperson-opined flavoring, bon appétit.
