  “My ex-boyfriend raved about this series for months before the manga finally came out (he had watched the show) and recognizing the title, I picked it up. Mushishi has the air of a novel, only it is told through pictures. Comprised of short stories, the esoteric, mysterious plots to each story make you wonder and think. That's what I really liked about it.”
