This book is about john's life. John is the main character who is living in New York with his mom. His parents are separated and he sometimes goes to his dads house on the weekends. Him and his dad don't get along very well but he gets alond fine with his mom who is getting married soon. John's best friend, Briann is in love with girls and always talks about them where on the other hand John doesn't care much for girls but reads this zine written by a girl ,Marisol, who he has always wanted to meet, and John might just be falling in love with her. So Johm decides to go to Tower Records on Newbury Street after saturday, March 2 to pick up a #2 edition of Marisol's zine, Escape Velocity. So he finally meets her and they start talking, and becoming frends. and after a while they start seeing eachother all the time. John is still in love with her but theres a big twist with her, Marisol labels herself as "Marisol Guzman, Puerto Rican Cuban Yankee Cambridge, Massachusetts, rich spoilled lesbian private - School gifted - and - talented writer virgin looking for love." So everything is screwed up untill the end. Check it out! (:

What i think of the book is it is very intresting, the things that Marisol and John say and think about gets everyone thinking, I very much so love this book and will be looking for others like it.
