Great start to a new series.
The world is futuristic yet still resembles today in a sense.
Looking forward to the next 2 books.

I liked it. It was a little heavy on the sexual attraction aspects, starting the minute the two main characters met each other, but that was supposed to be part of the whole werewolves attracted to their mate thing, so that was understandable. There were a few twists in the book. Even though I thought that I had figured out who was murdering women, there were a few times that the author made me doubt myself. At one point I wondereed if it was Red herself who was the murderer. She keeps waking up with blood and mud on herself - at times she begins to wonder about herself.

This story takes place in the future, and has very strong science fiction overtones, as well as urban fantasy (werewolves, vampires) and some romance - gritty romance, but romance- . Strangely enough for a book based in the future, some of the characters exhibit some pretty strong male chauvinistic attitudes.

The book did keep me engaged. It was well written, with a few nice twists in it. I enjoyed it, and if you like romance with some sci-fi and urban fantasy thrown in you'll like this book. There are at least two other books coming out as sequels that will be worth buying.

This is loosely based on Little Red Riding Hood and if you know that fairy tale, you know there is a big bad wolf. I found this to be a nicely written romance set in a post apocalyptic future that is surprisingly realistic. I loved Red (Gina) and the sheriff (Morgan) and hated the bad guy who is the the wolf (Kane). A little too descriptive and some of the words drove me up the wall --like adding "synth" to describe paper, coffee and food. Overall, a fun page turner.
