• Chastity O'Neill: Journalist who's returned to her hometown and hopes to find someone to settle down with like the rest of her family. Working for the Eaton Falls Gazette. She's 5'11 and is 30 years old with black hair and blue eyes.
• Trevor Meade: Surrogate brother and local firefighter who Chastity has loved forever. He's 5'11" with thick, dark brown wavy hair and chocolate brown eyes.
• Ryan Darling: Handsome trauma surgeon who Chastity is dating. He has dirty blonde hair and green eyes.
• Mark O'Neill: Chastity's brother. Third son. Firefighter. Married to Elaina and father of Dylan. He and Lainey are separated and in the middle of a bitter divorce.
• Elaina O'Neill: aka Lainey. Chastity's best friend since sixth grade. Married/separated to Mark O'Neill and in the process of divorcing. Dylan's mom.
