“If you are wondering why you are drawn to choose one purchase over an other because you think it will somehow change the world - Red Campaign anyone? - Brooks offers some good insights. A conservative columnist, his assessment of the BOurgeois BOhemians culture is pretty good, though I disagree with some of his conclusions. A "modern" trying to explain away some "postmodern" tendencies wrapped in class and economic shifts requires some analysis beyond where he lands. ”
