Being able to consider a very public event from the perspective of someone who doesn't know about the event is why this book is so valuable in classrooms. For older students (grade 5 and up) and more advanced readers, book groups will have many avenues of discussion when reading this book: alternative viewpoints, social pressures, family issues, lives of children.
