Respect is important, and to look at the fact if they are already successfull or not.If they are successfull, be always open for learning, use what you can use, and if you can't use it, throw it away. Thank them for sharing, but don't let anyone take away your drive of becoming successfull.. Meet also new people, and connect with successfull people. It will pay off in the end...
