“its good how they made the mansion into a house to turn it into a "sacry house/mesuem" but the plot line wasnt that exicting.”

“This was an entertaining book about two children who go to their grandparents for the summer. The trip at first seems boring, but by the end they are caught up in a battle for a heard of cows. ”

“I bought this audio book strictly because David Tennant was performing it, and he still has a 100% record of never disappointing. What a remarkable talent he has. This book would have been a fun read without his artistry, but with it, it is a charming and captivating listen. I'm glad I hadn't read the editorial review on this page before I listened, because the big twist of the story came as a huge surprise to me and I won't spoil it for anyone else in case they only read this review and nothing else on the page! I'll just say it starts off as a standard, garden-variety kids book where Mom & Dad go off for a few months leaving the children in the care of the eccentric relatives, then about 1/3 of the way in, takes a huge twist which made me perk up my ears and grin hugely. From there to the end it was pure magic. Highly recommended.”
