An amazing story that highlights the adventures, trauma and recovery of a female photojournalist. Would appeal to anyone who likes stories about strong women, adventure and/or human capacity for recovery.

A friend in India sent me this book when I had gone through several weeks of not being well. It just appeared on a day I really needed it and my thanks go out to you Urmil. This is a story of a woman's independent spirit, her learning to breathe to survive. The course of her survival and rehabilitation took this photojournalist to many sacred sites. This world traveler and photographer, after a near death experience in Laos, survived to climb Kilmanjaro and to make a pilgrimage to Mount Kailash. This is a story of courage, human goodness, and the interconnectedness of life. I highly recommend this book. It will make your spirit soar!
