My book club discussed this book on March 26, 2010. A member's sister was visiting from Norway - she said the Norwegian translation of this book was all sold out at the Oslo airport. The consensus was that the local Seattle history was fascinating, but the ending was a tad predictable.
Visited the Seattle International District on 8/24/10. Thought the area missed a great opportunity to provide a walking map of locations in the book. We did visit the Panama Hotel and Tearoom.
This was such a great read :) Its truly beautiful
This was a sweet love story. I learned so much about the Japanese internment, so very sad for Keiko and her family. This is a very good example of how racial profiling is so very wrong.
Very descriptive and beautiful romance. Loved story but the ending i kind of predicted. Everything leading to that point was just truly amazing
I need book club discussion questions
