    Not much, yet. Yeah the world will be a even bigger shithole in 2060, with clones. We shall see what the rest of the book brings.
    Later that month: yet more clones, a quicker pace and more details of what happened to the world and nation states. The section set in China had some interesting ideas. Maybe that was why I was unimpressed by the openiing section, set on an island off what was formerly known (in the novel) as Croatia. I read SF for the ideas, and once Sterling got going, the ideas (so that is what might happen to Australia) picked up the pace for me.
