Read the first and 2nd volumes but can't for the life of me finish the 3rd and newest installment. The story is taking too long to resolve and the characters annoying. ”

Attempts at horror were forestalled by the fact that I had no idea why I was meant to be scared or what I was supposedly scared of; descriptions of rooms and situations were confused to the point where my imagination was having to bend over backwards and squint to get itself into sort-of the right position; and while I had some sympathy for the characters in the beginning, by the end I only hated them all the more for apparently knowing what the plot was about and not telling me.”
