Finally! Rachel finds out who killed Kitsen; I thought the Harrison dragged that out way too long, and the murderer was totally random from who I thought it was. But I must say Rachel has to stop being so brainless and stop getting into these life threatening situations, and start thinking it out, because I am just getting this air headed feeling from her that she does not know what kind of life harrowing situation she is getting in.She kept on running into the banshee or going into the situation of confronting the banshee without coming up with a good plan, and the banshee just ended up kicking her ass, and in the last book she was going to come up with a plan to prolong Jenks' life, not one afterthought of a plan in this one, and the whole thing with Ivy, I just think that Rachel is stringing her along. Well just keep on reading then:)

Kim Harrison's managed to pull me even further into Rachel Morgan's world with this book, if that's even possible. This book incorporates characters and story lines you may have thought were just little side adventures in her short stories, making the twists and turns all the more exciting. Rachel is coming into her own, Ivy is learning to accept herself, and Jenks is amazing as always. We finally learn what happened to Kisten and we're left with even more questions about Rachel's path with Al and his new familiar. Can't wait to get started on the next one!

Still a fun series, though I could do without all the "smut" - a lot of times it seems unnecessary for her to "fix" things using black magic. I'm sure it is all happening for a reason that will become clear later, but for now its annoying.

Excellent as always, this installment answers questions about what happened the night Kisten died, as well as involving a scary Banshee and a delicious Demon :-) Cant wait for the next book, the next few sound really exciting...

Rachel tries remembering the events Jenks made her forget while hunting down a Banshee in the city.
