I liked the first couple books, but I've noticed that the characters are getting a bit two dimensional and not developing much book to book. In particularly, the male characters are VERY two dimensional...I've read both male and female authors who...” see full review » see other reviews » |
“My reply to Kim Harrison:
Hi Kim! I finished WWBC this morning! I would not leave my room until I did. My 2yo patiently waited for breakfast as I teared away. I felt so many emotions reading this book and the tears were happy and sad tears mixed up all together. I'm excited for the paving of new storylines and you did a splendid job cementing the others!
February, hurry up! Life is good when I take myself to the Hollows! :-) THANKS, KIM!!! ”
“The newest of the Rachel Morgan series. This time Rachel is up against her toughest opponent ever, a mother banshee who will do anything to protect her child. Rachel is also being called to task for her judgment and actions and witches are not to be messed with when it comes to justice. And of course, what series dealing with demons, witches, werewolves, and vampires would be complete without a ghost. She's dealt with him before but will she survive dealing with him again?
Really a fun read. I had a hard time putting it down and I just really love this series. I'm so sad I'm going to have to wait for the next one to come out at all, let alone in paperback. ”
“took me a month to read this oneall I have to say is that people who don't know about a subject should not try to write about it. I dont know if I will be reading any more.”

I just can't seem to say enough about this series. It has been amazing for me and with this last installment, it's getting even better. And in typical Hollow fashion, the punches just keep coming!

As usual, Rachel always finds herself in some kind of mess. But she is still reeling after the death of Kisten. And she won't rest until his killer is found. Ivy too, hasn't put his death behind her, but she deals with the murder in her own, unique way.
There is a new character introduced, Pierce, a ghost, whom Rachel first called up when she was only 18. The banter between Pierce and Al is great!

“I want more! I love this series. Rachel is awesome, Ivy is awesome, and Jenks...Jenks is one of the most fun characters I've ever had the pleasure to read about.”

This was an interesting book, but a long read. It may have had too much detail for what I wanted to read at the time. I may try to read book 1 if I get desperate for reading material at some point.”
