“It was obvious whose story this was and I was really excited. The pairing of Rydstrom and Sabine was really intriguing, from the very start the sexual tension was palpable. Kresley Cole slowly built their almost sexual encounters with a little erotic touching and petting, plus some fetishes, and the result was really explosive. This one was simultaneous with Cade's story. I liked how cunning Rydstrom and Sabine were, they were also equally matched and both of them were seriously hot. Obviously 5 stars, and one I would read again.
It started with Sabine's history then continued to the present day, how Sabine and her sister Melanthe, both sorceresses and sisters to Omort the Deathless, was able to capture Rydstrom. I can't get enough of Lore creatures, just when I thought I read all about them, I still learn something new. The world Cole created was very convincing with the use of pop culture and modern-day technology.
I was still on the edge of my seat to learn how Rydstrom escaped and took Sabine with him. She appears to be the lying, cheating, and evil sorceress but like most characters, she has a good side too. There wasn't much humor unlike the other books but I liked how they fell in love with each other, the sacrifices made, and the victory they shared.
The action, sex, myth, and love story was very well written and woven into one great story I didn't want it to end.”
“Another good IAD story. Rhystrom and Sabine are a unique match and fun to watch.”

So I know you’ve got your hands full your first week on the job, what with rescuing the economy, holding onto your blackberry and closing down Guantanamo and all. But as a concerned citizen of the world, I would like to draw your attention to a matter which requires your urgent action. This is the RMB girls’ campaign for you to confer a congressional medal of honour on Kresley Cole for writing the best book so far this year (Yes technically, we are less than a month into the new year, but think big picture Barack!)
“Kiss of a Demon King” (LOVES that title) is the latest instalment in Kresley Cole’s consistently (heard that certain writers of hip hop vampiric urban fantasy?) good Immortals After Dark series. The little blip with Sebastian Wroth is forgiven, although not forgotten. And I think we’re talking almost as good as “Wicked Deeds on a Winter’s Night” here. Because if you wikipediaed “Hawt”, there would be King Rydstrom staring back at you. He’s so smokin’ it’s like he came right off the barbeque. Complete with hot sauce. God, makes you want to gnaw on him like a chicken wing! *curls hands and claws at air* Rawr! OK, maybe you wouldn’t want to gnaw on him like a chicken wing Mr President, but take it from us that any woman in her right mind would. Just ask Michelle!

“This was my first Kresley Cole book. Overall I was happy with the story. 1st half of it was way too concentrated on the sexual stuff and I think it was bordering on erotica. i loved the 2nd half of it when Sabine and Rydstrom was getting to know each other better. I really liked the character of Sabine, being a hard ass chick and all. ”

But their journey was good and this was the first one I read in the series, and I tried Cole's other books because of this one.”
