    Farah Mendlesohn's carefully constructed approach to talking about fantasy literature is an essential book for any academic who wishes to approach the topic with the necessary linguistic facility. It's a rare thing to rave over a book that provides what is essentially a careful analysis of a subject, but rave I must for this.
