The author makes you feel that your right in the middle of the story. If your love sci fi books then the time machine is a most read.”

The writing is solid and the characters fun great original si-fi.”

Well's concise writing thoroughly engages in this tale of a man who invents a machine that can travel through time, and finds a future much different than he anticipated.”

Time travel scenarios always leave me asking the "why" question. For example, why not go forward and get all the winning lottery numbers for the next week and why not go back to definitively answer all the unanswered questions of ancient history? Instead, Wells decides to take his character forward to the year 802,703 (random) and beyond. His vision of the future is dark and the presentation of the story as a long, flowing monologue leaves much to be desired. And don't get me started on the ending. This may be heresy to some but I found the novella unimaginative!”
