I was a little confused on some parts of this book, but I'd say that it was adventurous and had a good plot.

I didn't get it totally finished but from what I read I really loved it. It was rather hard to follow though.

The book starts kind of slow but picks up when the time traveler hunts for his time machine and encounters the morlocks. recomended if you have some time to kill

After reading the book feed this was an interesting change. This book was written over 100 years ago so the language is much more advanced and very in descriptive. Altogether this was an amazing book that I greatly enjoyed reading, the story begins with the time traveller claiming he found a way to travel through time and the rest of the book is him telling the story to an audience in his house. This story is about how in the future the humans will divide into two different races, one evolving from the working class and the other from the rich. The book was mentioned in feed by the main characters girlfriends dad so I decided to read it.

I was familiar with this concept from the movie that they made from the book. But as usual, the movie was pretty pathetic when compared to the book. While a book written nearly 120 years ago won't keep up with the science very well, the human side of the story is very telling. The short story explores a human's social needs as well as the survival instinct. An overarching theme is the desire to explore and learn. The main character loses his time machine in the future, and when he finally gets it back, instead of fleeing into his own time, he continues further into the future to see the end of the world. All in all a good quick read.

In my opinion, I thought that the time machine was only a mediocre book in terms of today's standards of science fiction. However, if I had read that book in the time it was written it would have been a completely breath-taking story. The book is quite self explanatory. Someone creates a time machine and goes to different points in time and discovers that the human race will greatly change. This is why I think it is nothing compared to today's science fiction, because it has all been done before. However, H.G. Well's was one of the first to do it, so I have to give him credit in doing so. This book opened up an entire world of science fiction to the world and it created a new age of writing. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone, so they can see the origin of science fiction stories.

Good yet complicated. Many people would probably not find this too exciting, although I thought it was a fine piece of literature. The Downside of this book is that there are an extensive amount of details and explanations and it is a little hard to understand.
