Jack continues writing to his teacher about his life, weaving poems that she has read to the class into his thoughts. Jack is hilarious and very matter-of-fact.

Then there is the mean nasty fat black cat that likes to hang out in the tree. Untill he gets a CAT!! So he never thought he would get cat or kitten. After that well, I can't tell you. By Lizzie”
