“Spirits on the Staircase... I am only about 100 pages into this book but I am loving the idea of the Spirit on the Staircase that keeps returning. This is a great way to describe the voices that you hear telling you what you should have done. The characters in the book mention that this was a French idea, I think, but I have never heard it before. Has anyone else ever read any other good descriptions of this spirit? I would love to read more about it.”
