Changed my life during a back-pack trip through New Zealand/Australia in 1995.

Even though it was published back in '79, the book does Grt job of enlightening the readers on so many aspects of own's life, the people around U, yr upbringing & how it conditions the human behaviour...down the line & ways to overcome it! Grt book, indeed!

Not an easy read by a long way, but very insightful. It changed my life in its own small way - particularly with respect to my view on people, life, and love.

There was a lot about this book that resonated with me when I read it. It touched deeply spiritual values I have and struggle to actualize through living.

I got more out of this book then I was expecting. Which is always a good thing. With this book I discovered how important it is to keep on loving even when it's not returned. Good read....

This is not the most entertaining or easy-to-digest book I've read (I'm still reading it at the time of this post), but it is very helpful in understanding human behavior. I guess some (maybe many) people will find Dr. Peck's statements controversial, but I tend to agree with most (if not all) of them. I wish I read this book when I was younger, especially during my teen years.

Hello, Everyone! I am really recommending this book, I truly love it, no wonder its been a best seller for 25 years, It will help you understand others and yourself, why people are capable of good and evil, and why we are what we are. I have read my copy 10 times, and its full of highlighted passages.

My therapist had me read this and it really ended up helping a lot. I was pleasantly surprised.
