"This was a nicely written and literally had me weeping at one point though overall it is a happy book. I haven't tried any of the recipes yet but many sound pretty good. "

Loved this - it's a collection of stories about particular events in the author's life and the dishes that went with them, complete with recipes (including some fabulous-looking scones).

Not what I was expecting, this book is essentially a blog about recipes. The author tells the history of how each recipe became important in her life. I tried one recipe for "roasted tomatoes" and we loved it. I'm hoping to try a few more recipes.

good book, likeable author. the writing reminds me of little blogs on each page so it's very easy to read and interesting, at that. the recipes are a bonus. some of them are a little over the top but i managed to find a handful that look really good.

Amazing book! The storytelling is real and funny and sad and heartfelt. The recipes are also great. I can't wait to make "Winning Hearts and Minds" cake. :) Molly has a gift for writing that makes you want to curl up in the book and have her tell you stories.

I really enjoyed this book. This book is for anyone who loves food. Loves to eat, loves to cook, loves to hear the stories behind great recipes. I finished this book in 1 day and couldn't wait to try the recipes. Molly Wizenberg writes beautifully and tells her families story which great love and humor.

A memoir with a recipe that fits with that time in the author's life. Very touching and well written.
