Taking you from the Classics (The Epic of Gilgamesh, for example) through to the modern day, it consists of short essays summarising the works of the writers written by the esteemed authors. With an extension covering even more writers and written in engaging, enjoyable and clear language, it's a book worthy of a prize place on your shelves!”

  “This book has inspired my mom, my grandma, and I to gain a classical education. We are basically following their outline and list of books, and I feel already I am becoming more aware of the body of literature available. Although I feel they have left out some really important literature, this is a great place to start, and I appreciate their comments and information as I read along.”
