“It may be difficult to fit these titles into some curriculums but as a library reference they will provide lasting value. Karen Zeinert's Extraordinary Women Of World War I tells of women who took an active role in the war, serving as nurses, telephone operators, journalists and other working capacities. They involvement not only aided the war effort, it paved the way for women's rights and changing roles.”
