McClosky's simple ink drawings showcase ducks full of personality and a city (Boston) full of life and activity. The story which can be a bit long for the younger kids is still sweet and comforting. Waddling through the busy streets of Boston you just hope the duckling will find a home!

This classic book is wonderfully illustrated. It's a great book to read to a child.

One of the first books read to me and one of the first I read myself. Great artwork! Ducklings with personality ... A classic worthy of the Caldecott Award.

Where can Mr. and Mrs. Mallard live? Mrs. Mallard wants a safe place to raise her children--where can they go?

The answer: the Boston Public Garden....until Mrs. Mallard almost gets run over by a bicycle!

If I recall correctly, this is about a family of ducks who make their home in the city, and everyone stops for them to move to a new home in the city's central park. If that IS this book, then I thought it was cute, and is a nice read for little one's.

I loved this book and the illustrations were just as good. Mrs. Mallard has to make sure she get's her little ducklings across several high traffic Boston streets to meet their father.

It's all it's "quaked up" to be. Sorry, couldn't resist.
