“I read this a few months ago as a preview for Amazon. As I worked my way through the book I kept looking for reasons not to like it. It is different from the first book since it deals with a different storyline. The current day characters are the same and that it what kind of tied it all together for me.When I got to the end I wanted to dislike the book but found that I really had liked it. McGowan ties a lot of things together and ultimately I was very satisfied.I was turned off by McGowan's mysterioiusness about her quest to write the book. I think she is a little full of herself as she comes across as somewhat holier than thou. But, this is not part of the book itself so I was able to set it aside and enjoy the book as a work of fiction.”
