This was hilarious. I’ve only been dumped a few times (since I’ve only had a few girlfriends) so I mostly got to live vicariously through the people telling these stories. There are some good life lessons, some excellent rants, some brilliant writing, and some really nasty breakups. I’m glad I...

Bought because O enjoy severral of the writers, not in this case. Many weak sotries in need of editoing. Steven Colbert piece is a paragraph gag that drags for pages and pages.

A collection of essays by some famous, and not so famous, men on their experiences getting dumped - and other related topics, such as a man's relationship with his female cat, his daughter...

What I found surprising was the fact that many of these men felt the same way as a woman might at being dumped and suffered the many stings and arrows of the opposite sex.

Pretty darn funny, though some of the essays were rather foul in language and content.

I’m glad I hadn’t read this book when I was in junior high school or else I probably would have become a monk.

Stereotypical tales of men being grateful for their wives after learning not to do such and such from crazy girlfriends. Or tales of crazy girlfriends and learning to not be a douche. Not all that funny. And a little perturbed by the "hairy lasagna."

If I could I'd give it 3.5. It's fairly funny and unfortunately a little too stereotypical but overall pretty good. Definitely on the profane side of things.

They say that it's like HIGH FIDELITY and John Cusak. I found that pretty painful to watch and the coming to terms with life's disasters......... Even when these are of your own making, whether through inexperience or callousness, they are still pretty hard to take. Maybe I shouldn't read it? What do you think?
    Regards, Michael
