A great conclusion to the series. I liked the plot. The narration, in places, seemed like it was trying to be dramatic when it really wasn't. Other than that, I enjoyed the characters and story. Recommended to all GoG fans.

Gaurdians of Ga'Hoole War of The Ember Kathryn lasky 255 pages in this book.
I think that the main character Soren learns that nature can be random and unforgiving in many different places. He learns this because the ember of Hoole is part of nature and causes the war. The ember can control and almost hypnotise these owls. so Soren and Coryn {Sorens nephew} take to the ember to the volcano from which it came. He learns that he is the next king to the tree when Coryn died by his mothers own claws.

This is the final conclusion that seals the fate of the Guardians of the Great Tree. Just a warning this book is very sad in my opinion because my favorite owl dies!! Waaaaaa! Oh well can't change it. Also in a way this book sort of leaves you hanging! But not really...well I can't really describe it without giving the whole book away! Just read it! It's great!!

This last book in the series of the Guardians of Ga' Hoole is an intense book. Kathryn Lasky the author embodies the facts about an owl and also the fictional side of the plot. This last book in the series is also the most interesting book. With a change in plans from the last book, the Guardians of the Ga' Hoole tree have to fight off the kings' mother, Nyra. The king Coryn was able to escape from the terrifying reign of his mother as a chick and has since resided in the great tree. This last book explains the war between the Pure Ones and the great tree. Soren, Gylfie, Twilight and Digger which are also known by the name the Band has returned from exile and is now helping the tree to prepare for an inevitable battle. The owls of the great tree prepare for this battle with help from all creatures in the sic kingdoms, the blue owls, polar bears, puffins, seagulls, and dire wolves. These animals are in danger of loosing their homes but in the midst of all these problems, certain secrets are revealed that help add to this important war. As both sides build up their forces, the great tree, and the king set up spy posts to help relay information about a dark force building up that could cause the doom of all owls and animals. The war which rages for only one day comes to an end when two important lives are lost and the opponents of the Great Tree fall and lose. A new leader is born from this war to the Great Tree who has been there since a chick and will lead the Great Tree into a new era of ruling.
