The Memory of Running

by Ron Mclarty

Ron McLarty has joined the ranks of writers of the quirky hero with The Memory of Running. His hero, Smithy Ide, is in the grand tradition of Ignatius J. I recently saw that he has a new book out called "Traveler" released 1/18/07. It got good reviews from Amazon.com and Pulisher's weekly described as heartwarming and thoughtful...hope this answers your question.

I loved this book. Usually, this writing style would lose me... but the author executed it so suberbly... I was completely enthralled. I have loaned this book out so many times to my friends and family and everyone always loves it. I hear he has a new book coming out. Does anyone know anything about that? What is it supposed to be about and when is the release date?

Sometimes I see myself in this book...getting lazy and becoming a coach potato...hassles and then just taking off on a bike away from it all! I loved how h e got himself together after everything he went through. He learned a lot of lessons by running as he did.
