“Though not as fascinating as Gladwell's previous explorations _Tipping Point_ and _Blink_ IMHO, Outliers may have insights that are more immediately useful. He pokes holes in preconceptions about "innate talent" with evidence that early experience and long practice have more to do with success (becoming an "outlier" on the high end of a bell curve) than talent. This is important news for parents and educators, but also for a bit of hope for anyone who wants to get better at something: even if you've passed your formative years, practice will make you better at whatever you aspire to.”
