I know I'm probably in the minority with my rating of this book. Don't get me wrong, I think Gladwell is a fine writer, thought-provoking and does his homework. I had issues with his two first books as well, but this is his weakest book yet. It probably deserves 2.5 stars, but since I can't do...

I love the way Malcolm Gladwell makes boring research and statistics fascinating!

A fascinating read, very perceptive. Loved the historical information and statistics. Shows great insight into how and why some people succeed and others don't. A good read for parents of gifted children, too!

Great book that outlines what sets societal outliers - successful and not - apart from the rest of us.

Learning about how cultures impact how we learn really helps me with my research. I recommend this book to teachers of ELL and any student at risk.

So far very interested--statistics have never been my thing but I remember discussing those outliers on the Bell curve--the anecotes have been quite interesting so far.
