Being the new girl is always difficult but Allie Finkle has some very unique challenges. It’s the first day of school and the box with her tights is missing, along with the box with the bowls and spoons. Plus, the new stove hasn’t yet arrived. Popcorn becomes breakfast and Allie decides to wear jeans under her skirt (in case she climbs on the monkey bars at recess).

Then, the whole family has to walk to school together. How embarrassing! Especially considering her youngest brother...

Luckily, Allie made three new friends who stuck to her like peanut butter and jelly. They stuck to her side by side when going through tough times and Allie Finkle had such a tough time with this bully, Rosemary.
