“I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Terrific plot though the writing was not up to the task. The main character was predictable and a bit one dimensional. Still I was captivated by the story. It stayed in my mind throughout the day. I also liked the embroidery connection and that it has some actual history. Great that the author was inspired by the kidnapping of an ancestor by Barbary pirates. Good reading!”
