This young adult fiction novel was very intriguing. It combined romance, fantasy,and folk legends into a very interesting book. Can Lucy Scarborough perform the three necessary feats to save herself and future children? I don't want to give away too much, but the plot is very unexpected.
I love Nancy Werlin's portrayals of characters with mental illness. Though not a major aspect in this particular book, her descriptions are often frighteningly accurate.
