This is a nice piece of literature. I read it while in senior four (secondary school) but up to now I still like it. Ngigi explains the life in the old Kenya in the most teling manner. His choice of charcters and mixing of thems surely is and indication of great expertise. I specailly liked Waiyaki and his girlfriend, uncircumsized!

just cant believe that some men think circumcisiopn is the true embrace of manhood
i mean u can still be a man even if u dint do it the traditional way

well, I am not circumcised. I think I still qualify for a man. Anyway, just shows you that while tradition is sacred, sometimes it is just outright stupid!
