It was the title that first caught my eye but it was the words that keep me reading. Loved the characters, and wit. Suspense until the surprize ending. I think I would like to read more by this author. More talking than narrative, but it was so well done you just want to see what will happen...

An okay book to read on the beach or before you go to sleep.

A much less suspenseful addition to the series. Stone gets involved with Lance Cabot's brother who was a Marine and is now an antiques dealer and furniture builder near Stone's Connecticut home. All of the former group of marines who were together in Vietnam and stole coins that set them up in their careers stateside are introduced and involved (though not as intensely as alluded to in the beginning). A large secretary desk has been stolen from Barton and it is worth millions. But there are also some "reproductions" involved as well. This is more about wheeling and dealing than murder and mayhem, and is relatively low key.

Another campy book featuring the skirt chasing lawer Stone Barrington. An easy, amusing mystery read.
