    About the Book:

Many people know a little about New Orleans as it is today, but few know how this exciting city got its real character. A World Of His Own-In The Land Of The Creoles is an epic saga of love, marriage and betrayal, and life as it was in the early eighteen hundreds. Not only is this a story of the city, but it is also a love story of a man torn between two women. One turns his life into a living hell, the other makes his life as close to heaven as possible.

The story follows eight years in the life of Andre de Javon. Andre was ripped from his family during the French Revolution, and sent to England where he never felt he belonged. Heading back to France he finds everything he ever knew and loved destroyed. Thus he heads to America to rebuild his life.

In my story I fold in historical goodies that shed light on New Orleans's burgeoning adolescence. Also one learns much about my French and Spanish Creole culture.
The pirate Jean Lafitte, General Andrew Jackson, Henry Shreve are but some of the colorful characters that pop up throughout, making this story a fascinating historical novel.
