This one was my favorite of the three Sally Lockhart books! The plot was well developed from the previous, and the mystery was suspenseful. I love the characters and the victorian London setting.

Horribly dissapointing in comparison to its precursor. Sally becomes an overbearingly annoying protagonist, and one of the two characters who are still likable at the end dies pointlessly just to build up to the overdramatic ending. Also, what the hell happened to Adelaide? It seemed like the main reason to write a sequal would be to divulge that mystery. Almost a total waste of time.
