“I really enjoyed The Golden Compass and although The Subtle Knife is keeping me wondering what will happen next, I do not like it as much as the Golden Compass. We will see how I feel about The Amber Spyglass.”

“Rivals but does not exceed the wonder and magic of the Harry potter books. A sensational magic adventure at first ending in a much deeper context. A great and unforgettable tale.”

Imaginative, yes, but not interesting or entertaining. And not even very well written according to me. Had to read all of them to see if I would get the hype, but didn't. I couldn't relate to a single character. Also, couldn't understand the authors dislike, hatred even, of organized religion. Waste of time for me. ”
