Quite an imaginative story. However, I don't understand why so many religious people got all up in arms about it. It's not the only story out there that attacks religion, and it only really attacks the unsavory aspects of it anyway, the aspects that deserve to be attacked. And, although it depicts the organized church as hypocritical and powerless, the alternative that it sets up in place of it was not compelling in the least. So, great story, unsatisfying ending, unworthy of all the fuss, in my opinion.
