Not since the Lord of the Rings and maybe not then has an author so vividly escorted a reader thru the world of magical wizards, beautiful lands, brilliantly colorful descriptions of the beauty only nature and light can behold, the battles of good against evil and the quest of all man in any world to live peacefully in a beautifully brilliant environment absent of evil yet filled with the awesome surroundings that only nature, love and art with large doses of fine music can provide. The author in his experience of being in the worlds he writes about is able to so naturally bring the reader into the most magical of places with the heart pounding sensation of involvement in the challenges many characters face. Unlike the brilliant works of J.K. Rowlings who depicted the wonderful story of Hogwarts and Harry Potter et. al. this author not only blends the most of descriptive of poetic and graphic writing to tell his tale but in a dimension J.K. Rowlings never achieved Temple H. Herlund weaves thru out the tale wonderful life lessons for our youth to learn or us aged to be reminded of in terms of the beauty of the light, of nature, of community and commitment to those we love (all of which seems to be in short supply in our lifes today). I am fortunate as a mother of a 10 year old girl and 12 year old son to have had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Herlund personally and buying 3 copies, one for each of us, but as a mother of 49 and a regular reviewer on Amazon I felt it necessary to be the first to rant and rave about this new masterpiece with six more promised in the works. One copy for my family was not enough so to keep the peace so I bought three!!
