• Kinsey Locke: Daughter in the Locke family. She is trying to cope with the loss of her father after he was murdered.
• Tyler Locke: The oldest son in the Locke family.
• Bode Locke: The youngest son in the Locke family.(NOTE: Pronounced like "toady" by Joe Hill)
• Nina Locke: The wife of the recently killed Rendell Locke. Mother to Tyler, Kinsey and Bode.
• Sam Lesser: Add a description of this character.
• Rendell Locke: Father of the Locke family. Guidance counselor that was killed by two kids.
• Lucas Caravaggio
• Duncan Locke: Rendell Locke's brother. After Renny was killed, Duncan took in the Locke family into the famliy estate in Lovecraft, Massachusetts.
• Al Grubb: Associate of Sam Lesser and co-murderer of Rendell Locke.
• Dodge: Creature at the bottom of the well. Befriends Bode by posing as his echo. It desires to find the key to get out of the wellhouse. It also communicates with Sam Lesser.
