“This being the last in the Nightwalker series, I was disappointed. I surely hope that Ms. Frank decides to continue the series, because there were too many story lines that did not get completed such as: Ruth and what becomes of her, the first two Space and Time Element children, the Vampire...”see full review » see other reviews »

“These characters in these books are the most accepting characters I have ever read. They get thrown into impossible situations and never even bat an eye. Kestra learned she was more than human and jumped right into it, but when it came to falling in love, she fought it all the way! But who could resist Noah in the end? ”KRISTY20 wrote this review Monday, April 30, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“Noah’s story really threw me for a loop. I didn’t expect him to have so much trouble with convincing his mate of the bonding connection between them. I also didn’t expect to see the softer, more impatient side of Noah that is scene in his book.
After six months of dreaming of this mystery woman that has kept Noah in a twist that others have started to notice subtle changes in their King. He finally goes to Corrine for her Druid power of locating his mate.
Corrine finally gets a connection between them long enough for Noah to get her name, Kestra Ions, and a challenge from her to come find her, for she has no belief that this is real.
A week later Noah comes back over with 2 year old Leah, Bella and Jacob’s daughter, with a concern that he hasn’t dreamed of her in the past week. They can’t get a connection until Leah enters the room. When she does, they are all transported to the past where they watch as Kestra is killed during a mission.
With Samhain just days away, Noah loses it and forces Corrine and baby Leah to take them back to the past where he saves Kestra’s life and brings her back to the present. Noah now not only faces the Enforcers punishment for his actions, but Bella’s mothering anger at him risking her daughter. Their friendship takes a huge hit from his actions.
Noah’s troubles don’t end there though, for now he faces his mate whose past has mutilated her from trusting and loving anyone, especially a man. Her military career has taught her to be dependent on no one and Noah sprouting off about the connection of a bonding that will hold them together is not what she wants to hear.
Noah struggles with giving her the time she needs to come to grips with everything. Although she’s willing in the bed department, she’s holding back her heart from Noah who has already given his to her.
Both their battles and thinking are flawed, but as a reader you can see how they are thinking what they think and why they struggle. Kestra sees Noah’s love and can read from his mind just how he feels about her, but her past abuse keeps her from trusting what she’s reading straight from his mind.
Meanwhile, Damien has lost control on the rogue vampires who are after Nightwalker blood to claim their powers. The entire ‘gang’ is affected when Syreena and Kestra are both targeted to weaken their mates.
It’s only when their attack takes Noah life that Kestra fully accepts her new life and uses her magic to send energy surging into Noah to revive him.
Now they must work towards a game plan on taking out the rogues.

“I loved Noah's story it was so good ,i just love getting lost in her world ,i love the characters and the plot was pretty good ,i love how she mixes all the different Lore together i mean you get Demons,Vampires,Werewolves, necromancer and Sirens it's just a good series that get's better with every book .
Although at times i felt like maybe Bella should have been his mate ,it just seemed like there was something between the 2 of them that was more then a friend thing .
but i did like Kersta she was cool and i like her and Noah togother.
There was one thing i didn't like about this book was when Noah called Kestra (Baby Love ) he said it about 5 times ,i mean you can call her baby or you can call her love but never put the 2 together because it's just so annoying ,but other then that i liked the book :).
So far my favs in the series are - Elijah,Damien and Noah's books they are really great . Jacob's and Gideon's book were good but they could have been a little bit better.”
“love this series but this was my least fave book. But it was still worth the read.”Aylah wrote this review Friday, December 23, 2011. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“I have to admit, I was disappointed. Kestra had all the elements I thought she should, but it still didn't work with Noah like it should have... There was an awkwardness between them that didn't click. It was almost missing the romance. I also didn't get her power much... But that's just me. I guess my hopes were too high for the Demon King.”Layne wrote this review Wednesday, September 7, 2011. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
