    This is a brilliant but challenging book (over 800 pages) I wonder what people thought about the level of research that went into this--and the picture that emerges. I interviewed Perlstein for my podcast on my website babyboomreview.com and found him so incredibly precise about the swiftly moving currents riding through the 60s and 70s that my admiration for his dedication to understanding the period increased even more.
