This book contained short stories of female characters in different stages of their lives. It was a quick read, but with many underlying themes that would probably appeal more to the female audience. Every short story was like a snippet from someone's life. Unlike what the title might lead you to believe, the stories all take place within the US. It also had an interview with the author, as well as questions about each story at the end of the book.
