This fictional memoir was a great read, very informative, and very recommendable. Loved it! I recommended this book immediately to my family and friends. They all loved it too.

A friend of mine (you know who you are) picked this up, said "quirky," turned up her nose and then put it down. It did have its quirks, but there was more to it than that. It was actually kind of sweet, in a British way, but edgy, also in a British way. I liked it. So there, Elizabeth.

This was a surprisingly well-written and compelling read even though I bought it for a dollar at a flea market in early May. Parts reminded me of the Memory Keeper's Daughter and others The Dive From Clausen's Pier.

The Laments are a typical family with each member holding his own ideals and dreams. Its showcases their travels and the experience each new country brings. Funny story with some unfortunate incidents that spoils the reverie. Nice light read.

I enjoyed this book. A different style of writing is always refreshing and that is what you get here.
