This historical romance involves Daniel Severin(the Raven) and Lorelei duClerc(the Rose). Lorelei is the illegitimate daughter of King Louis. The Raven has been sent by Josephine Boneparte to kill her to keep her from royal fortune. This is a wild chase with many unexpected turns. A good look at the world of Napeleon Boneparte and the political dealings of the time. Wiggs is an excellent historical writer.
